The seventh annual Jacksonville PorchFest, a music festival held on the welcoming front porches of Historic Springfield, will take place on Saturday, November 6, 2021, from 12 pm to 8 pm. The family-friendly, free event will feature musicians from a wide variety of genres.
Afternoon entertainment will include more than twenty performers on porches throughout the historic district. Attendees will stroll from porch to porch and “camp out” on front lawns and sidewalks as they enjoy live, local talent. Maps of porches and performers have been posted here and provided on the day of the event. Our friends at FSCJ and Bethel Baptist Church have opened their parking lots, with hundreds of spaces, to our guests.
Along the way, there will be a variety of food, drink, and arts vendors to round out your experience in Jacksonville’s oldest and original front porch neighborhood. PorchFest brings important attention to Springfield’s historic architecture and ongoing revitalization and highlights the breadth of musical talent here in Jacksonville. Proceeds from the event are dedicated to SPAR’s arts programming and education fund.
The Colonial Oak Music Park will host the inaugural STArt The Music Festival Saturday, Oct. 2, 2021.
Local and regional talent of all music genres will be performing for one day only on three stages at the Colonial Oak Music Park. More than 20 stages will participate in the first festival of its kind, organized by Start Now to promote local musicians in St. Augustine.
The festival is headlined by the Ries Brothers, a duo from Tampa, Florida, that blends rock, blues, funk and reggae into a soulful, sophisticated sound. Other acts set to perform include Annie Dukes, The Forum, Gentlemen’s Crow and Stranger Wolf.
Early bird tickets are $20. Ticket prices increase to $25 after Sept. 1.
Proceeds from the festival benefit Start Now, a nonprofit that supports creatives, musicians and artists of all types in the St. Augustine community. For more information, visit here.
Admission: $20 until Sept. 1. $25 thereafter.
When: 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 2, 2021.
